Marine Technology Reporter - July 2008 MTR100: ASA Makes the List of Top 100 Marine Technology Companies for Second Consecutive Year ASA makes the list of the year's 100 most influential marine technology companies for a second year in a row. "The Third Annual Marine Technology Reporter's Top 100 marine technology company listing again releases its list of cutting-edge companies. MTR's editor, Greg Trauthwein, prefaces the issue:
The 2008 MTR100 is filled with a diversity of subsea market players, but this year the flavor is decidedly O&G, with insights from not only the developers of subsea technology serving this market, but also some of the biggest names in the deployment of this technology to feed the world O&G need." This being summarized, MTR's editorial staff did not consider leaving ASA out of this year's listing as ASA is certainly well recognized by the O&G industry as providing truly pioneering products and services in this sector. |
"The Third Annual MTR100, presented here in our Yearbook edition, has become a valuable exercise in assessing the overall direction and health of the subsea industry. The direction and health of this industry today can be summarized in a simple phrase: “Oil & Gas.” While academia and defense remain strong pillars, a near perfect storm has formed in regards to subsea technology and the hunt for offshore O&G.
