ASA develops computer tools to be used to provide functional answers related to environmental and engineering problems and challenges.

ASA's computer models simulate physical, chemical, and biological processes. Our models can be used to answer interdisciplinary questions related to marine and freshwater as well as atmospheric and land environments.

Since 1979, ASA's technically diverse staff has used these models and built innovative tools to solve environmental and engineering problems. Listed here are computer models and software tools that ASA has developed or co-developed for the oil, gas, chemical, marine, and GIS industry.ASAMAP

ASAMAPTM, ASA’s suite of environmental modeling tools, are available for licensed use and customization and include: AIRMAP, CHEMMAP, CMSMAP, COASTMAP, HYDROMAP, OILMAP, SARMAP, SIMAP, MUDMAP and WQMAP.

ASA Software Interface

Oil, Gas, Chemical & Marine Industry:
AIRMAP
Predicts the 3-D trajectory and fate for chemical products in the atmosphere.
CHEMMAP
Predicts the 3-D trajectory, fate, and biological effects for chemical products in the water and atmosphere.
CMS
Provides Crisis Management Simulation tools for crisis response and training. Includes oil/chemical spill, nuclear explosion, search & rescues, resource management and personnel evacuation.
OILMAP
Rapidly generates predictions of the movement and weathering of spilled oil.
MUDMAP
Predicts the transport, dispersion, and seabed deposition of drilling muds and produced water.
SARMAP
Predicts trajectories and search areas for drifting objects.
SIMAP
Provides detailed predictions of the 3-D trajectory, fate, and biological effects of spilled oil.
   Fresh Water and Coastal Environments
COASTMAP
Supplies real-time and historical environmental data management, analysis, visualization, modeling, and  internet-based distribution.
HYDROMAP
Generates currents and water level predictions for coastal waters around the world.
SSDOSE
Calculates the effects of suspended sediment plumes on various aquatic organisms.
SSFATE
Predicts the dispersion and settling of suspended sediments from dredging and jetting operations.
WAVEMAP
Predicts wave fields in the coastal environment.
WQMAP
Determines pollutant transport and fate for pathogens, nutrients, and toxic materials.

ESRI Products
ASA provides computer modeling tools as integrated solutions for ESRI GIS users.
